 Welcome to the Urbana Township History Page, where we're documenting the story of our township from its beginnings in 1811 to today. The First Election held in Urbana Township was October 8, 1811.

We're proud of our past and the people who've led us along the way. 

Right now, we're gathering names of former trustees, clerks, constables, and others who've served our community. It's a work in progress, but we're committed to honoring our township's legacy. • Fence Viewer -  A fence viewer is a town or city official who administers fence laws by inspecting new fences and settles disputes arising from trespass by livestock that had escaped enclosure .
