 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 The Urbana Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 7:30 pm at the Urbana Township House 2564 State Route 54 Urbana, Ohio 43078. The purpose of the meeting is to act on an application for a variance, applied for by Richard Bowman. The nature of the variance is: Variance of 30ft. for front of property. Zoning requires 50ft road frontage. The parcel numbers are K41-11-11- 22-12-009-00 and K41-11-11-22-12-010-00. The location description is: Section 022 Range 011 Township 05. PUBLIC HEARING

The Urbana Township Zoning Commission of Champaign County, Ohio will be having a public meeting  to discuss making changes to our Zoning Resolution

The meeting will be held at 8:00 PM on Thursday, 11-06-25 in the Urbana Township Hall located at 2564 St. Rte 54

The proposed amendments, initiated by a Resolution of the Township Trustees, amends Article ||  Definitions by adding a definition of "Freight Container" and "Fence or Wall" and amends the definition of "Semitrailer/ intermodal Container" it also adds Section 1013 Fences & Walls and Section1067 Mobile Trailers. Last, it amends the Official Schedule of District Regulations by increasing the accessory building height from 15 ft to 20 ft in the low density Residential District (R-1)

PUBLIC HEARING

The Urbana Township Zoning Commission of Champaign County, Ohio will hold a public hearing concerning the proposed amendments at 

8:00 PM on October 16, 2025 in the Urbana Township Hall.

Description of Zoning Text Amendments

The proposal amends Article 2  by adding a definition of "Freight Container" and "Fence or Wall" and other amendments.

SPECIAL/EMERGENCY MEETINGS:

An emergency meeting was held on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 10:30 A.M. by the Board of Urbana Township Trustees with members Blair Stinson, Roger Koerner and Matt Harrigan present regarding the Enterprise Zone Agreement needs to be submitted to the State by November 1, 2024 for Urbana Health Facilities, LLC and Champaign Residential Services, Inc.  By unanimous vote the Enterprise Zone Agreement was approved.

An emergency meeting was held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 2:20 P.M. by the Board of Urbana Township Trustees with members Blair Stinson, Roger Koerner, and Matt Harrigan present regarding a garage door failure and an estimated repair of $2,000.00 to replace the motor and opener. By unanimous vote the emergency repair was approved.
